![]() We primarily build our sample libraries for the Native Instruments Kontakt engine, a premium virtual instrument plugin. We then program them into a matrix with a scripted user interface and complex internal logic to control when and how the samples are activated, based on user input and a variety of other important run-time variables. ![]() We record instruments, performers, vocalists and all sorts of objects that make cool noises and then chop those recordings into thousands of little samples. A sample library is a collection of sound clips ("samples") that are programmed into a software framework that allows them to be played back realistically on a computer using a midi controller and or arranged in a midi sequence within a digital audio workstation ("DAW") environment.
